Learn All the Names for Sugar
You already know the most efficient way to start seeing rapid changes in your weight – cutting back on your sugar intake.
The best way to do this is to learn the many different names of sugar.
Often, the food that we consume doesn’t directly list ‘sugar’ as an ingredient, and you might end up thinking of it as a healthy food choice- not knowing it’s secretly full of sugar.
There are so many foods that have a lot of sugar, but they disguise it well under different names. Educate yourself about it and you’re one step closer to getting rid of the culprit.
A good rule of thumb is to look for anything ending in “ose” so things like fructose, glucose, galactose etc. They’re all sugar. Look for more innocent sounding words too like honey and maple syrup.
I’m not suggesting you eat ZERO sugar at all. I am suggesting to consume sugar with awareness and don’t let these foods trick you! 🙂
Add Reprogramming Foods to your Diet
Our tongue can become so used to salty and sweet tastes that we forget two other important tastes- bitter and sour.
It has been found that eating foods that taste bitter and sour can trigger the release of hormones that make you feel ‘full’ which is an awesome effect.
Spinach, broccoli, grapefruit etc are some good examples of these reprogramming foods that can help with nailing portion control and losing weight faster.
Whether it is your exercise routine or your healthy eating habits, being consistent is the key to making it work for you.
Intense gymming for 3 days and skipping it out entirely for the next 4 days isn’t a winning formula.
Also, please don’t buy into the short-term results that come from lowering calories to dangerous levels.
Exercise is such an important part of healthy, sustainable weight loss and maintenance. Like I always say, if all you can do is 5 minutes, then do just 5 minutes. 5 minutes is better than no minutes. ❤️
Clean Your Fridge
Wait what? Yes, you read that right. The fridge is often one of the first places we get to when we’re stressed or hungry, and when your fridge is free of the the ‘unhealthy’ foods, you’ll be automatically putting yourself in a healthier environment, and you’ll be more inclined to make healthy food choices, and this can be another great way to speed up your weight loss.
Drink More Water
Specifically 20 ounces of water every morning right after you brush your teeth.
You already know how water detoxifies your body and helps you feel full.
This is a wonderful way to amp up your digestion, help wit feeling fuller for longer, and get your star started in the most wonderful way!
Several studies have backed up this fact, and there are more and more studies being done to show how drinking more water is great for you.
