Eat a High-Protein Breakfast
This could possibly be the best diet tip in the world!
If you load up on protein in the morning, it is significantly easier to stay on track the rest of the day.
This is one rule that I personally follow religiously.
Many professionally recommend this hack for one simple reason.
It helps you feel full and eat less throughout the rest of the day!
Use Wraps for Buns
I’ve seen many low carb diet recipes that replace the bun with lettuce.
If that works for you, please do that.
However, if you’re not quite ready to go for the lettuce this hack will help you.
Instead of lettuce, use a wrap!
This is a nice way to slowly transition from the carb-heavy bun to something lower carb (but not extreme).
Who says you can’t enjoy your favorite pasta dishes when eating low carb?
Instead of traditional wheat pastas, make your own out of veggies using a spiralizer tool.
If you want to go even a step further, you can purchase frozen, pre-spiralized noodles from many grocery stores.
Make Cauliflower Rice
You can have rice dishes too! Well, cauliflower rice.
I once made cauliflower fried rice for my husband and he could not believe it was not rice!
Cauliflower rice does not have the same taste and texture as regular rice BUT it is a really good replacement.
It’s really hard to explain how this works but it does.
Give it a try and decide if it’s something you want to keep in rotation.
Swap Fries for Veggie Sticks
Swap french fries for “vegetable fries” made out of avocado, squash or zucchini.
Toast Up Cheese “Chips”
Craving something crunchy? Toast cheese to make your own low carb chips.
Find a Cloud Bread Recipe
If you are bread obsessed, make some low carb “cloud bread” to load up without the guilt.

Use Eggplant for Lasagna
Miss the heartiness of layered lasagnas?
Make your own low carb version by swapping out pasta for eggplant slices.
Egg plant is usually in season from July – October.
However, depending on where you live, you can probably get some all year.
Avoid Liquid Calories
This applies to all diets – including the low carb diet.
You’d be surprised how many high carb ingredients lurk in some drinks – even “healthy” ones.
You’re better off making your own beverages using herbal teas, lemons, mint leaves, cucumbers, apple slices, etc.
Opt for Lower Carb Flours
When in doubt, go with lower carb flours like coconut and almond flour for your recipes.
