This garlic and honey remedy for weight loss has become really popular.
The recipe is actually quite simple too:
- Chop up two fresh cloves of garlic
- Let it sit for 5 minutes
- Add a tablespoon of honey
This honey and garlic remedy is supposed to be consumed on an empty stomach for 7 days.
There was enough interest around this topic that I became curious myself.
Garlic and Honey Remedy for Weight loss: My Experiment
As shown in the video, I decided to do a quick little experiment.
I wanted to see if i could actually lose weight using this garlic and honey remedy.
So, this was purely a curiosity thing for me.
Most of the sites and videos I watched had a long list of benefits listed.
But it was the weight loss aspect that intrigued me and that is what I focused on.
So, how did it go?
I have to confess, I did not eat this garlic and honey remedy for a full seven days.

I found it to be extremely challenging to chew down two full cloves of garlic all at once!
In fact, I hadn’t planned on chewing at all.
I assumed that I could just throw it to the back of my throat like a shot.
Alas, the honey was too thick,
I considered adding some hot water but didn’t.
I wanted to follow the instructions as closely as possible.
In the end, I chewed it all and my oh my, I was not prepared for what happened next.
1. First, I got heartburn (surprise!)
This heartburn was different from any other type of heartburn I’ve ever experienced.
It wasn’t a slow, steady rise in discomfort over a span of hours.
The best way I can describe it is this:
It felt like a *BOOM* in my chest area.
Not pleasant.
2. Next, I got a tummy ache
After all, I did just chomp down two full cloves of garlic.
The tummy ache though? I didn’t expect it.
It felt like a hot, burning sensation in my belly.
Again, not pleasant.
3. Finally, I had to go potty
This experiment was truly a new type of experience for me.
I’m not sure I’ll do this again unless I get a good response from you guys.

Ok. Did I Lose Weight with Garlic and Honey?
Based on my science background, I can tell you something unequivocally.
There is no need to go through this torture to lose weight.
There are simple and straightforward ways to get the body you want.
The science of how to lose weight is very clear.
It 100% does not need this level of effort (and discomfort).
I can tell you that I lost my appetite for several hours after eating this garlic and honey remedy.
So perhaps that is conducive to weight loss.
BUT, I get the same effect from green tea (minus the heartburn)
My Conclusion: Honey and Garlic for Weight loss
If you’re an average person just trying to lose some weight, I do not recommend this remedy.
Weight loss doesn’t have to be complicated.
It can be simple and straightforward.
Simple, not easy though
I almost didn’t share my results from trying this experiment.
But I think it’s important that people share results from these types of things.
I’d hate for you to have heartburn for a week when you don’t have to 🙂
