I was feeling discouraged in my fitness journey because I was doing my best but my weight kept going UP instead of DOWN.
Can you relate? It was frustrating.
For whatever reason, though, I decided to just keep trying my best even though I wasn’t seeing any results.
Then one day, I decided to eat something that I didn’t exactly grow up eating and it worked!
Yup. It’s exactly what it sounds like.
Jollof rice made with barley instead of rice.
I ate this meal for lunch and dinner one day and went to bed as usual. The next morning, I strolled into the bathroom and had the best #2 action of my life!!
TMI, I know.
It was so much that I immediately stepped on the scale.
I was stunned. 4lbs down.
I’m sure some of it was water weight but still. It was SO encouraging to see that I wasn’t going crazy.
So, ladies, don’t sleep on this.
If you’re doing everything to lose weight, but nothing is happening. Maybe you just have too much waste in your system. Try jollof barley and drink LOTS of water to get things moving.
