Supplements Are Awesome, But Not Necessary
Protein shakes, pre-workout shakes, meal replacements and protein bars are all great.
They can help, but you don’t necessarily need to have them as a part of your weight loss journey to see actual results.
In short, you can lose weight, gain muscle, and be fit and healthy without the help of supplements.
These supplements are merely there for your convenience- for instance, if you have a hectic couple of weeks and you don’t think you’ll be having the time to cook or follow your diet, supplements can help.
However, it is best to stick to real, natural food.
This is because real food contains micronutrients that the body needs to function at its best and show you the weight loss results you’re hoping to see.
Be Realistic
Whether you’re a student, a mom, entrepreneur, business person (or all of the above!)- if you’re leading a hectic lifestyle and are trying too hard to tick all the boxes and get all of it done, well guess what? You’ll most likely be burned out soon (been there, done that!).
One of the most important things to remember when you’re aiming to lose weight is to be realistic with how much you can achieve and in what period of time.
You don’t actually need to go to the gym for an hour. You just need those extra 10-15 minutes a day that you can sneak in and exercise at home.
Don’t fall for the ‘all or nothing’ hype.
Even if it is just for 5 minutes, do that workout.
Consistency is important.
Keto & Low Carb Isn’t for Everyone
Low carb and keto diets may seem really promising, and they do actually help a lot of people lose weight rapidly and quite effectively, no doubt.
But the truth is, they are not a one-size-fits-all solution. They don’t work for everybody.
So even if you’re eating carbs, don’t guilt yourself into feeling that you won’t ever lose weight. If bread is your vice, eat it. Starving yourself isn’t going to get you anywhere.
The key to making your weight loss work for you and stay consistent is to choose healthy foods, eat the right amount of food for your needs, make exercise a priority, and stay consistent.
